23 May 2024 - Spies Hecker, a global refinish coating brand of Axalta, launches a new larger 3.5L tin for its Permasolid® Speed-TEC HS Wet-on-Wet Speed Surfacer 5550. Part of the Speed-TEC System, which uses patented Axalta technology, Permasolid Speed-TEC HS Wet-on-Wet Speed Surfacer 5550 draws on temperature and ambient humidity to accelerate the drying process.

Permasolid Speed-TEC HS Wet-on-Wet Speed Surfacer 5550 can be overcoated after just five minutes of air-drying time. It is also very user-friendly and delivers high stability on vertical surfaces. In combination with the Speed-TEC System’s basecoat and the clear coat, this surfacer ensures a very good topcoat finish and a brilliant appearance.

The Speed-TEC system comprises: Permasolid Speed-TEC Wet-on-Wet Surfacer 5550, the Permasolid Speed-TEC Surfacer 5500, Permasolid Speed-TEC Clear Coat 8800, Permasolid Speed-TEC Clear Coat 8810 and either Permahyd® Basecoat 280/285 or Permahyd Hi-TEC Basecoat 480. 

The new Permasolid Speed-TEC HS Wet-on-Wet Speed Surfacer 5550 3.5L tins are available in black and white immediately.
